The bilateral Cooperation Senegal - Luxembourg 2007-2011 programme supports three main sectors that are technical vocational education and training, basic health and water and sanitation (SEN/026). Moreover, a cross-cutting component focusing on governance is part of the programme.
The whole programme is running in Louga, Saint-Louis, Matam and Thies. The total provision by Luxembourg and Senegal amounted to 59 650 000 EUR ; representing 39 127 835 050 CFA francs.
In this context, Development Cooperation between Luxembourg and Senegal moves towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and especially their application in Senegal, materialised by the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP II).
